This module unit is aimed at imparting to the trainee knowledge and attitude necessary to interpret set standards in construction of farm structures, advise on soil and water conservation, farm planning and servicing and maintenance of farm implements and machines.
General objectives:
At the end of this module unit, you should be able to:
a) Understand the physical planning of a farm.
b) Interpret standards needed in the design of farm structures.
c) Maintain Agricultural machinery and implements in serviceable condition.
d) Understand the working principles of various Agricultural power machinery and equipment.
e) Carry out soil and water conservation measures.
f) Apply Agricultural irrigation and drainage plans.
g) Demonstrate safe working attitudes in Agricultural engineering practices.
